Brandy Key and Dustin Bailey met through a mutual friend eleven years ago. Brandy was visiting her friend, Janessa when Dustin showed up. It was truly love at first sight for Brandy, who says she felt an "instant connection" with Dustin. It took them much longer to get to the aisle. According to Brandy, they had "talked about getting married for a long time," but " just didn't see the rush".

Spring, 2007 Dustin surprised Brandy by proposing to her during a romantic dinner that he had cooked himself. Recalling the proposal, Brandy says, "I knew something was up that day when he had dinner ready, because he never cooks."
Brandy and Dustin chose historic Victoria's Black Swan Inn as the location for their ceremony and reception. Brandy described the planning process as, "easy at first". But then, as the day approached, Brandy started to get nervous and she began to worry that everything might not come out the way that she wanted. However, it turned out that she didn't need to worry after all. On the actual day of the wedding, everything came together wonderfully.
"As I came out of my dressing room and I saw all the decorations and flowers," explained Brandy. "I was astonished! Everything was beautiful, more than I could have ever imagined!" The flowers and decorations were masterfully created by Bisli Event Services.
The couple married on April 5th, 2008. The ceremony was officiated by Judge Sid Harle, and took place at six o'clock in the evening, outside Victoria's Black Swan Inn gazebo. Brandy described the weather as "absolutely perfect", going on to say that they "couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day".
The wedding party consisted of Best Man, (Dustin's Brother Joey), a Matron of Honor (Joey's wife Jackie), three groomsman and three bridesmaids. There were two ring bearers (including the couple's son Cody), and two flower girls.
Since Brandy and Dustin had been together for eleven years, Brandy didn't expect to feel as nervous on the day of the ceremony as she did. "As I began to walk down the aisle," Brandy explained, "tears started rolling down my face". Luckily, Brandy's father was there to keep things light by telling jokes. Brandy recalls how it helped a lot to "ease the tension".
The mostly outdoor reception took place on the mansion's front lawn and inside the main hall. "Masquerade DJ provided the music and they were great," said Brandy. Jo Ann Rivera of Victoria's Black Swan Inn catered the event. Guests enjoyed a wonderful dinner that included rib eye with shrimp skewers, an assortment of greens, raspberry meatballs, shrimp shooters and scallops. After dinner, Brandy and Justin mingled with their guests, danced and celebrated before leaving in a stretch limo (with the rest of the wedding party) heading to downtown San Antonio in what Brandy referred to as "a little after party".
When asked if she would do anything differently, Brandy said, "I would not change a single thing about that day. It was a perfect day! The way everything came together was too good to be true."
